Colleagues’ thoughts on working with me

  • “To continually push her natural talent for crafting language, Kate employs a drive to always know her audience and her subject matter as well as absolutely possible. Her hunger for context and insights is only rivaled by her ability to translate that knowledge into thoughtful and catching copy.”

    — Will Pinholster (Creative Director and direct manager at Allianz Partners)

  • “In addition to being an innovator and all-around great person, Kate’s range of skills are off the charts. Finding and hiring someone like Kate is like hiring a unicorn.”

    — Bethany Wolfe (creative partner at Richmond Association of REALTORS)

  • “Kate has many strengths, including attention to detail, strong work ethic, completion of assigned task on time, makes sound decisions based on facts and her ability to see the big picture, a positive team player with outstanding leadership skills that rallies those around her to work smarter, and an engaging personality that is always upbeat and positive.”

    — Paul Hassett (direct manager at Circuit City corporate HQ)

Awards & Press

  • In 2016, I was awarded first place in an international crowd-sourcing competition for Campbell’s brand soup, based on my submission of a video script that answered the client’s creative brief.

  • While at the Richmond Association of REALTORS, the poster campaign I conceptualized, oversaw production on, and wrote copy for won a “gold” award at the Richmond Advertising Club’s annual Richmond Show.

  • The poster ad series I worked on at the Richmond Association of REALTORS (RAR) also made Richmond BizSense’s list of “2016’s Memorable Advertising and Marketing Moments.” The campaign, promoting the value proposition of working with a REALTOR (as an expert local guide), appeared in local homes, offices, and even a local art gallery after launch. A representative from the Library of Virginia also collected a set to add to the archives. Local REALTORS purchased prints from the “REALTOR Store” at RAR as closing gifts for clients.

  • In December 2021, I earned a top performer award from the Product Management & Innovation department’s leadership team for my strong contributions throughout the year.

  • The Product Management & Innovation department’s “Jet Setter” awards recognize associates who continually go above and beyond their job description. According to the award description, they “have great ideas, they never drop a ball, they’re always willing to assist, and they do all of this with a smile.” Co-workers and managers submit nominations, which are then reviewed by head of the department.
